From stem cell to B-cell – Understanding hematopoietic development
The hematopoietic system is maintained through the continuous generation of mature cells from self-renewing hematopoietic stem cells. A major challenge for the field is to understand mechanisms that drive this differentiation process. Our main focus is the development of B-lineage cells which we study through a combination of in vivo and cell- and molecular biology approaches. The overall aim is to understand the transcriptional networks that underpin this process and how they control normal and aberrant development.
